Greetings from Host4Geeks!

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible service we can to our clients we will be upgrading the server hardware that the UKSRV1 server is running on, over the weekend of the 5th & 6th December '15.

The current servers hardware is getting long in the tooth and is running some outdated legacy hardware.

The new servers specifications are:

Intel E3-1270v3 Processor
32GB of DDR3 ECC RAM
2 x 480GB SSD Drives and 2 x 2TB SATA Drives
1000Mbit uplink port
New Advanced DDoS Mitigation.

The new server will be running the latest the latest CPanel, PHP and perl versions.

We will also be moving the server to our new network in London, which has been recently designed and upgraded to offer higher levels of performance and DDoS protection.

This upgrade is a major event for this server and the outcome of the upgrade will offer a significant improvement to load times of sites on the server, and will also remove the ongoing load issues with email delivery and delays and high loads on Mail Scanner that the server has suffered in the past.

This upgrade will mean all sites and all resellers will be assigned new IP addresses to their accounts.

We will be emailing out details on this with further information starting tomorrow and will keep all clients up-to-date on this via this post in the forums and also by sending out announcements via the help desk

If anyone has any queries relating to this major upgrade please let us know.
