We've just pushed out a few updates to our Backyard Client Portal and Support Center. Please read the following changes carefully.
The location / URL for Backyard will henceforth be https://backyard.host4geeks.com instead of https://host4geeks.com/backyard. To improve the overall security of our system and protect client data we decided to move our client portal to an isolated server that only hosts the Backyard. You should also notice significant improvment in the overall performance and load times for the client portal. At this point you will automatically be redirected to the new URL when you try to access Backyard through the old URL.
Integrated Support Center and Live Chat: The ticketing system as well as live chat system is now no longer a separate portal and is available from within the Backyard itself. Once you login to the Backyard, and expand the Support tab you will see options to Open Tickets, View Existing Tickets as well as access the Live Chat feature.
Opening new tickets: Henceforth all new tickets should be opened from the Backyard itself, sending an email to [email protected] or [email protected] will NOT open a ticket. However, once the ticket has been opened from the portal you can reply to it via email and all replies will be piped into the helpdesk. This is again being done to improve your security.
Introduction of Support Pin: Once you login to your Backyard and go to the Edit Details page you will see a new field called "Support PIN", please setup a 6 Digit numeric PIN. This will be used to authenticate you over Live Chat and Phone. We will not be able to provide you any assistance over Live Chat or the Phone, unless you authenticate yourself using this Support PIN.
